Whiterose are a recently formed, Scottish folk duo. Dougie Smith, born on St. Patricks day 1968 in a small mining village called Carronshore near the bonnie town of Falkirk. He first started playing in a band called "Scotch 'n' Rocks" before moving on and starting two more bands, HomeBrew and Mak a Din. The other half, Kevin Wilson, has been a musician for 33 years , mostly as a Folk singer/writer. For the past 25 years he has played in folk bands, firstly as a member of Claymore a Scottish folk duo, a great duo that played all the regular folk venues and where he set down his folk roots.
They both love their country and are fiercely patriotic. Both Kevin and Dougie are now 100% committed to Whiterose and can't wait to deliver their huge repertoire of songs to both fellow patriots and also to have a good crack with the Auld Enemy and other foreign tourists. They are looking forward to a great future with "Whiterose" for many years to come. Dougie and Kevin are currently recording their second album
