If you would like to appear at the club here is the info you need....

Leith Folk Club present a paid main act and a volunteer opening act every Tuesday evening. All main acts are booked on our standard terms which pass a very high percentage of the ticket sales to the performers. The proceeds on the night vary according to the attendance on the evening. Normal door charge is £6 although occasionally we increase this for better-known acts, and the capacity of the venue is slightly under 70.

The club provides its own PA and offers with it the services of our in-house sound engineer. Many performers and members of our audiences have commented on the high quality of the sound.

All opening acts are volunteers and are booked a few weeks in advance. They are usually offered one 25 minute opening spot at the beginning the evening.

If you wish to be considered either as main or opening act please contact us by e-mail with a few details. We will respond by letting you know where to send any further information and a demo CD. Although many performers now have a website with samples, we do insist on a CD demo which we can pass round the committee.

If you would like to be considered for an appearance at Leith Folk Club please get in touch via our CONTACT page.

Leith Folk Club is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. Our income comes only from ticket sales and the proceeds of our weekly raffle. Any financial surpluses remaining after the artists have been paid are retained within the Club and used to maintain our PA equipment and publicity.
